Pet Lounge and Service in Brunei

Hello, welcome back to my blog. Here I am, Dr Rizka Amalia, Indonesian vet who work and living in Brunei Darussalam. I’ve been stayed here almost 3 years. Starting in Sengkurong, then move to Kuala Belait, and the end at Madang, Bandar Sri Begawan. So, here I will share some information about Petshop, Grooming, and Vet Clinic in Brunei.

Having a pet is a pleasure, they can give u cherish, happiness, and unconditional love. As their basic need, the supply of food, litter, and pet accessories are available at pet shop. Some of the pet shop also provide grooming and pet hotel. In Bandar Sri Begawan, you can find a lot of pet shops, like Nimanja, Pet Vision, Biocare, etc. But on other area is a bit different, like in Tutong district there are only Nimanja and Biocare. Living in Kuala Belait, there are Nimanja and KB Catz. Sadly, I can’t find any petshop at Temburong. For dog and cat professional grooming, you can go to Simanja Pet Grooming, located in Sengkurong and Serusop. In other area, Heropet also provide grooming and pet hotel at KB.

Caring animals and decide to adopt them as part of family is a big responsibility. Not only basic need like food and housing must available, but also the medical health service too. Some of pets will find in pain, injury, poisoned, trauma, infections, malnutrition, congenital, and geriatric problems. In conjunction of taking the responsibility to their condition, human as the owner must take action like bring the pets to the pet expert known as veterinarian. Veterinary service in Brunei is quiet complex and not really organized like in other country, I mean there’s no association of it. The service accommodate by company who pay an animal doctor to work, as in do checkup, explaining the pet’s condition, and give therapy. All the vet who work must be registered on Ministry of Agriculture, and licensed to do the service with legal concern. Mentioning the name of the clinic based on the location:

1.       Bandar Seri Begawan, you can go to

a.       DZ Vet Clinic Sengkurong for multispecies check-up and farm home service,

b.      DZ Vet Clinic Madang for friendly and good customer service,

c.       Asyen Angel for dog ward and dog’s surgery,

d.      Petlink and pet planet for check-up under nimanja company,

e.      Akeso and Anicare for Gadong area, it’s dog friendly treatment,

f.        Paws and Claws for complete facilities,

g.       Cat Vet for affordable cat check-up and neutering,

h.      Tongda Veterinary Clinic for orthopedic specialist,

i.         Onezz for grooming and check up at the same time.

k.  El-Nemr with their till late night opening hours and home service

2.       Kuala Belait, You can go to DZ Vet KB and Healthy Paws, both of them having same service provide. But DZ Vet KB having point plus for the member since they sharing online system with the two others branch. And the other side Healthy Paws provide emergency check-up and therapy out of operational hours, but with additional charge.

Beside of Pet Service, I also want to share about NGO (No-Profit Organization) which having concern to help pet especially the strays and do neutering to control the population. I follow some of them in instagram like CAS ( Care and Action for Strays), Komunitas Sejahtera, Pawsuptv, Saveourstray, Pawssociety, Lovepawsanctuary, etc. They do fund raising from society and manage their account for the shelter, food, and vet bills.

That’s all about pet and vet service in Brunei Darussalam on current time, it will developing to be better in the future. Any new info, you can added in the comment. All the personal comment is purely by myself as the one who care about animal life. I don’t put any personal reason for profit and favor. I wish you and your pet doing well and always be blessed.

Bye bye
