Lifestyle Book Lists

Many of us feel lost on our journey, feel empty inside of our soul, or bored on our daily routine. But there are many of people who still believe that life is much more precious than anything in this world. Some happiness bring joy of life and make it longer, and I saw it from couple of books I read. Let’s see what’s the lists:

1.       Timeless Truths of Modern Life by Arnie Rozak
This book tell about how to enjoy modern life and cope the problem of your overthinking about whether past or future. So make now as the present and feel deep inside of the process. The writer adopt how Buddha practicing meditation to decrease stress. The guidance of meditation is quite detail with perspective of modern life, so you can practice it at home. From my point of view, this book is recommended for people with anxiety problem. So you can more focus and have peaceful mind.

2.       IKIGAI by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles
Ikigai is Japanese lifestyle which concern about three elements (what you love, what you good at, and what the world need). So you  have to combine all of the elements to find your ikigai. It will help you life longer. Since you feel happy to do your passion and it earn money well. Your job can be your hobby, and you shouldn’t retire because it kind like vacation with professional tittle. Some stress maybe will appeared in road of your journey, but you face it as challenge before upgrade your skill. Play it well and you will get the diamond!

3.       LAGOOM by Niki Brantmark
Niki is british author who has Sweden husband. She told us about her experiences lagoom lifestyle to find happiness in simple way. Most of Lagoom lifestyle is more into nature, efficiency, and durable things. We shouldn’t spend money for gym, just go Sweden way: paddle your bicycle, walk, or take public transportation. It take a lot effort, sweat and your life time. But it’s good for nature, decreasing your screen time and THRIFT! I amazed about explanation of midsummer event. Yeah I remember of midsommar movie. I thought it’ll be kind scary, but actually it’s full of happiness and just talk about the Swedish enjoy summer festive.

4.       Goodbye, Things: The Japanese Minimalism by Fumio Sasaki
Minimalism word explained well, but the wrong thing is the book printed and keep my space not minimal. Yeah, I should practice what I read better now cause it tell to get rid all of unimportant things in your life. Just owning the most important things that you need for daily basis. I am underlining about don’t take hobby as runaway of work stress. Cope the stress and find the way to solve it. It happened almost of time in human life. Japanese always has busy mind, so why not just focusing on the important things and stop clutter around. In digitalism era, it’s so much easier for us to practice minimalism, but we should to have courage to say no and stop buying things from online market. Keep journey into more spiritual experinces inside of our mind than print picture, buy gift, or left many food.

My conclusion of four lifestyle books I read is why we don’t take now as the present from God? Bring all of your energy in every steps of your life, do your best, make it simple, effective and natural. Life is so much easy than what we thought, just enjoy and win the game. If you loss, restart or take play again!
