Pursuing Ideal Parenting 101

 Aloha!

Ohana means family. All of those words come from Hawaian. I have to have a fun way to learn new cultures and foreign languages by watching movies for kids (Lilo and Stitch 2025). Yeah, welcome to my new page about living as a parent. I conduct the function as homemaker under my husband's permission to treat Yusuf like my biological son.

So, here is where the story begins...

Approaching a child can be a great challenge for me, especially when it goes to education and nurturing development. The biggest paid job should be, because it leads to character building and brain systems. Such a complicated work to do, even for the best graduate students, huh?

It’s been a month since I first met Yusuf. We get along well. Like playing outdoors doors together, having prayer, dinner, and study time every night. Sounds like a perfect scene, right? Not longer than that, Yusuf sometimes gets annoyed and bored with routine activities. He can’t endure the tension of reading and mathematic subjects. Like it will take a longer route to achieve, with all the naggies and distractions from gadgets and playing with his cousin. He always has his own choice to decide about, but still under my husband’s permission. And I respect him above all.

I don’t want to force him to be like me, but at least he can survive the system. Like doing good in school, making friends, respecting others, and behaving towards older people. My husband and I strongly agree with the idea of Japanese early education, which focuses on character development. It’s good indeed, but Yusuf’s school is beyond those expectations. His books are all full text. He has to read the commands and answer with his own writing. I really hope that he can catch those schemes.

In the end, I have to be a resilient parent. Be tough and not give up on him. He needs me as a guardian, guidance, and sanctuary. Embracing the imperfect situation is my way now. I can’t force him to be like me with my parents' old learning system. The world is changing, technology is in our surroundings. May peace be upon me, my husband, and him.

I want to share some of our exciting activities.
