Working In Pandemic Situation
It’s been a month of 2nd wave COVID-19 pandemic in Brunei Darussalam. This time it’s more getting serious since confirmed as delta variant. The virus can spread from air or said as airborne disease. Every day the amount of infected people up and down, but average there are 100 new cases. Most of people get infection because of must be working from office, usually retail business worker. Other aspect of work field that grouped on some clusters usually come from Government office, Oil and Gas Company, and service company like bank.
The impact of rapid spread COVID-19 infection are the office
must be close, all of staff must be quarantine, and all close contact will get
antigen swab mandatory. Once a member of business diagnosed as positive, there
will be more cautious of the owner on their business continuing. Most of
customers will be go to other shop. In my opinion, it’s not only the people who
need get treated but also the place where they get infection. I can say many
private hygiene and sanitize service in Brunei, but we can’t control and
guarantee their service quality. There’s no assessment and rule from government
how it should be work.
No matter how, prevention is the best way to keep the
business on. How we manage the business and strict rule of visitors. First, we
can filter health and close contact people by their Bru-Health apps, but
sometimes we can detect if they don’t have any symptom or unrealized of getting
touch with close contact or positive patient before they diagnosed. So, here I
will share some tips for you to prevent unwanted COVID-19 infection on your
work place:
1.
Make sure all of your colleagues are healthy,
and their family too. Ask your manager to make work on shift or reduce working time.
2.
Always check and ask the customers about their
Bru-Health code, It’s so much better if you only give permission to enter the
green one. Any yellow code person, may have transaction online without direct
contact
3.
Minimize contact by using gloves, put double
mask, and wearing face shield. I suggest to avoid sharing food and beverage
with other people. Personal belonging is very sensitive to be vehicle of virus
transmission.
4.
Give a sign of maximum capacity in a room,
anyone should aware of social distancing. If we breathe on the same air in a close
room, it can be factor you get infection.
5.
Encourage people to make appointment, find your
product from website before pick their booking items. Make sure people know
what to do and what to find before come. Only necessary enquiries will proceed.
6.
Share status for online payment availability, online
bank-in give better impact through less contact than conventional money. It’s
easy and accessable by everyone from anywhere.
7.
Put a place for drop off the booking items.
8.
Last but not least please protect yourself first
by vaccination, installation of antivirus shot is a must. Please mind your
priority to do it whether you busy of works. Health is the number
one asset of life. “Mens sana in corpore sano”, mean healthy mind in a healthy
body.
I think that’s all from me, as a work from office fighter. I
will share some of our poster for the issues. I wish it will help your business
